... Rasulu pleaded with residents to cultivate the habit of planting trees.

... Propagate for a cleaner environment. 

... Appeal to residents to go get their Permanent Voters Card.

The recently tarred Taiwo Akinbode road in Ajangbadi was the venue of this year 2022 Tree 🌴 Planting exercise in Ojo Local Government with the theme *IN HARMONY WITH NATURE*.

Gracing the occasion were notable dignitaries within the local government which include but not limited to Hon. Yinka Durosinmi (Immediate past executive chairman of the local government), Hon. AbdulWasiu Sanni (Immediate past sole administrator of the local government), Alhaji Olorunfunmi (APC apex leader in Ojo Federal Constituency), Alhaji Banire, Alhaji Memud and other party chieftains. Others are traditional rulers, market men and women, CDA Chairmen, leadership of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, LASCOTA and women group led by Mrs. Keshinro (APC Ojo LGA women leader).

The local government authority was as well led by the Capacity Executive Chairman of the local government *Alhaji Rasulu Olushola Idowu*, the Vice Chairman (Mrs. Edna Uche Ubochi) the Secretary to the local government (Hon. Babatunde Olorunfunmi), the legislative wings led by Rt. Hon. Adefemi Wusu and the management team led by the head of the council technocrats (Mrs. Ajose E.Y)

In the inspiring keynote / welcome address of the Executive Chairman, he reiterated his immense appreciations to the Executive Governor of Lagos State *Governor Babajide Sanwoolu* who has always ensure tree planting culture holds ground annually across Lagos State to keep being in harmony with nature.

He more so appeal to residents of the local government to imbibe the culture of planting trees and partner with the government in taking ownership because of the usefulness of these trees to mankind.

The Chairman however, frowned at waste disposal system within some areas of the local government. Drainages are not waste pits! He said. Discharging waste into drainages or in potholes may result to uncontrollable erosion that can cause uncountable damages, especially in the raining season. He therefore, appeal to community leaders to swing into actions in ensuring waste are being channel properly in their various communities to fend off unforseen natural disasters.

Further speaking, Mr. Project seized the opportunity to appeal to residents who are yet to get registered for their Permanent Voter's Card to quickly go and do so with the last hour opportunity the electoral umpire have given to Nigerians. He advised those who have completed their registration to ensure the collection of same at INEC office as distribution of PVC to those with early registration is already ongoing.
